Electrical Engineering Technology :: Home

Any person who wants to design, fabricate, or otherwise work with electronic circuits (amateur radio operators, computer and processor buffs, science fair participants, and technology hobbyist of all types) would be interested in Morrisville’s Electrical Engineering Technology Program.

A student graduating from Morrisville in this program will have a facility and familiarity with practical analog and digital circuits, which in many ways rivals, and often exceeds that achieved by the typical baccalaureate degree student. The curriculum is intensely analytical, yet includes a great deal of “hands–on” laboratory work, which gives the student the ability to become immediately useful in a commercial work environment.

Nearly all students graduating from Morrisville State College go on to earn a baccalaureate degree. The Electrical Engineering Technology program is characterized by small class sizes, which allow professors to spend more time with each student than would be the case at many colleges.

Morrisville State College’s Electrical Engineering Technology degree is accredited by TAC/ABET. (i.e., the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, 111 Market Place Suite 1050, Baltimore, MD 21202–4012, Tel: (410) 347–7700.)

Admission Requirements

A student wishing to enter the Electrical Engineering Technology A.A.S. program must have a minimum high school average in the C to C+ range. Math preparation is very important for success in this program, and students should have had a minimum of three years of high school math (four is preferred) and two years of science. It is also helpful for students to have taken high school physics.

Morrisville State College has a rolling admission policy; notification of acceptance begins November 1. SAT or ACT exams are recommended, and an on–campus interview is encouraged.
