Gaming and Casino Management A.A.S. :: Home
Casino gaming, one of the newest forms of entertainment, is also one of the fastest growing
industries in the United States and abroad. Revenues derived from commercial gaming have
increased from more than $10 billion in 1982 to more than $50 billion today, making the field
an excellent career option for students interested in the hospitality industry.
The Gaming and Casino Management degree program provides students with the managerial,
technical and operational expertise integral to pursuing a career in the casino and
entertainment segments of the hospitality industry. Our graduates are prepared for entry–level
management positions in casino operations, management and marketing, hospitality, gaming
regulations, hotel/restaurant operations, management and sales.
Focusing on the latest in technology, the program targets the legal/regulatory issues vital to
protecting the integrity of casino gaming operations such as licensing, table game protection,
surveillance operations and casino/hotel security. Students will learn about the legal and
regulatory aspects of gaming, the need for appropriate security in the casino business, the
particular functions of the different games, and retail operations in a casino.
The relationship of gaming to the ever–growing tourism and destination industry is also a key
component of our program. Using state–of–the–art equipment, students receive hands–on
experiences and knowledge, skills, marketing and management techniques essential to securing
a position in the gaming industry.
The Gaming and Casino Management program is closely aligned with the hospitality management
program which includes Restaurant Management, Travel and Tourism and Resort and Recreation
Service Management at Morrisville State College. This concept provides our students an
exceptional exposure to the hospitality industry.
The college also offers a one–year certificate program in Casino Careers—Professional
Development.
